EMCO is the original supplier of wire rope wedge sockets in North America. The design is a collaboration with EMCO and the major elevator manufacturers in the 1980's. It was developed to be a safer and simpler alternative to babbit sockets. EMCO currently is the largest supplier of wedge sockets in the USA and maintains a very large inventory to meet the daily needs of the elevator industry. Our wedge sockets exceed ASME A17.1 requirements and undergo continuous and rigorous inspections and testing in the USA to ensure the integrity of the product. We can provide wire rope wedge sockets for ropes sizes as small as ¼" (5mm) and as large as 7/8" (22mm).
