The SCR Broken Belt Detection Unit is part of a broken belt detection system for elevator traction belts, supporting up to four belts.
The SCR device, together with BCD-CC connectors installed on the open ends of the belts, monitors electrical continuity across the steel wire cores.
The unit features a single relay output intended for connection to the elevator control unit. If a broken belt is detected, the relay changes state to signal a fault condition.
